Our family's journey of discovery on Life Sabbatical
For the first time since early January, we are back in the USA, and it feels comfortable to be in a place where people drive on the correct side of the road and speak 'Murican! We are taking a few days to visit Asheville then rest awhile in Virginia before heading up to D.C. to embark on the next adventure: a self-contained bike tour along the C&O Canal and Allegheny Passage towards Pittsburg, PA. Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
We're two parents with a preschooler who left our jobs in the U.S. to embark on a "life sabbatical" for...well, awhile let's just say. We started in Lisbon for three months, then on to London for a few weeks, then back across the pond for some bike touring, a cabin high in the mountains, eventually vanlife wherever the way beckons. Probably. That's the plan. But you know what they say, life is what happens while you're making other plans, so our goal is just to live each day as well as we can, hopefully get pretty good at it, and see where it all takes us. We invite you to follow along.
